July- August
August is the eight month of the year. The number eight signifies Infinity. It indicates reversing, rebooting and restarting. At SGSSS, we also have rebooted ourselves and have restarted with great spirit and enthusiasm. After two years of an unexpected break, we have started the roller coaster ride of festivities, examinations, excursions and so on…Now there is no stop. Not only teachers and students but parents are also geared up to do their best.
In the month of July/August we had a few exciting competitions and activities like Wealth out of waste, Rakhi Making, English Debate, for Senior Students. For the Juniors we had solo dance competition and little boys and girls showcased their talents with great enthusiasm.
Simple, easy and fun, activities set the foundation for better learning and development. We mold our preschoolers and channel their growth with various kinds of preschool activities. The Tiny Tots celebrated Green day with great fervor. They came dressed up as trees, fruits, vegetables and planet earth.

The Gregorians celebrated Independence Day by upholding the spirit of patriotism and solidarity.
The students showcased a vibrant cultural programme.
The chief guest of the event, the Parshad Mr Rakesh Jain hoisted the national flag and inspected the guard of honour. He applauded the efforts of St. Gregorios in raising good and responsible citizens for more than four decades. The Manager, Rev. Fr. Jose V. Mathew along with the chief guest felicitated the high achievers of the Classes X and XII. Hon’ble Vice Chairman, Mr. Mon T Varghese, Hon’ble Secretary Mr. Junesh Thomas, Hon’ble Trustee Mr Babu John, and the other members of the managing committee graced the occasion. The Principal Mrs Preeti Mathur delivered the welcome address and hearkened the children to spread the spirit of brotherhood. The programme drew to a conclusion with the vote of thanks of the Vice Principal, Mrs. Shubha Jose.
What could be a better news than that of fun and frolic. To enjoy the lovely weather, picnics are being organized for the students of Classes 6 to 12.
